As for all my classes, I'm posting the syllabus, notes, links, and practice
tests online. The syllabus follows what we decided to do in May 2003.
The notes try to cover the objectives in the state guidelines, but are
not all-inclusive. We also have class discussions and activities
to fill in additional material. The practice tests/quizzes also are
not exactly like the actual tests. The actual tests have additional
critical thinking questions.
I still have my anatomy/physiology
material up, but it is for a full semester course. I will try to
cut it down to fit into a half semester as we get closer to mid-terms.
As for the water quality testing,
the students were informed of the project. Towards the beginning
of the course, we will cover the statistics. I will wait for the
visit from J.K. in my classroom before going into more details on the testing
processes. Then towards the end of the course they will be writing
a report using research, statistics and the LUMCON collection data.
Let me know if you have any
suggestions. |
